Led by Sufi teacher and Emergence Magazine founder and executive editor Emmanuel Vaughan-Lee, this all-day workshop will explore simple practices and ways of being that connect you with the ongoing unique expressions of the seasons. Emmanuel will offer instruction on embodied acts of slowing down, noticing, opening the senses, and aligning the cycles of your own body with those you experience around you. Drawing upon both his new book Song of the Seasons and Emergence’s latest practice book, Requiem, Invitation, and Celebration, this workshop will reveal opportunities to engage with the seasons that are present every day, in moments striking and subtle, and how to be in a space of constant receptivity to these invitations. The workshop will run from 11am to 5pm in the Reethaus, with weather-permitted time outdoors, and include a talk, nature connection and deep listening exercises, walking meditation, and lunch.
Tickets for this workshop are €90 and include a copy of the practice book Requiem, Invitation, and Celebration. A small number of partial scholarships are available for this workshop. To apply contact us at events@emergencemagazine.org.
A related lecture given by Emmanuel Vaughan-Lee will be held ahead of the workshop on Friday, March 27, exploring the themes in his new book, Song of the Seasons. A bundle ticket for the Friday lecture and all-day workshop, including copies of Song of the Seasons and Emergence’s latest practice book Requiem, Invitation and Celebration is available for €120.
